      Part of the Advances' content contains translations from the Institute's Matematicheskiye Trudy, and succeeds the Proceedings of the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics. As a rule, the translation of a Russian article appears simultaneously with the original or even precedes it. From the very beginning the Advances has allotted part of its space to new material not yet published in Russian. This express forum contains some of the very latest and very best in Siberian mathematical research.
